Board of Trustees and Advisory Board

Promoting health together – beyond basic medical needs. This is the objective that the Aachen University Medical Foundation set itself this year in order to realise important funding projects in the areas of medical care, research and teaching embedded in a macrosocial context, as well as pioneering ideas at Uniklinik RWTH Aachen.

In order to make a synergistic contribution, the executive board of the Stiftung Universitätsmedizin Aachen has appointed a board of trustees and an advisory board composed of important decision-makers and qualified disseminators from the areas of government, civil society, science and culture.

With regard to the composition of the board, the university foundation has placed special emphasis on including different areas of society, in order to achieve an even greater networking of suggestions and ideas from science and the community.

The objective of the Stiftung Universitätsmedizin Aachen is to give Uniklinik RWTH Aachen the opportunity to fill the gap between the amount of state funding available and the amount needed to meet all tasks and requirements through private involvement, and so to create greater flexibility.
